Me, Uncencored. Take It or Leave It.
I suppose I should start by introducing myself. My name is Fabulous. But it’s spelled K-Y-R-I-E. (I stole that line from a gay man in a coffee shop.)
Actually, my name is Kyrié. That is pronounced KEE ree ay. I am not as old as you might think just from reading what I write or looking at a picture of me. But I don’t believe in ageism, so now we can all put this issue behind us.
I live on a rock in the middle of nowhere, otherwise known as Hawaii. I mean, don’t get me wrong. Hawaii is great and all, if you’re into warm beaches with blue water and friendly mellow people. Unfortunately, this is not my scene. [Disclaimer: Hawaii is still a totally awesome place for you to come on vacation. Why is that? Well, it’s because our economy is based solely on, you guessed it, tourism. So, if you don’t want us to drown—figuratively, because the literal counterpart cannot be helped—keep visiting.]
Now that I am finished selling you my home state, I will resume telling you about me.
Music is a very big part of my life. In lamest terms, I like rock. If you wanna get more technical, I like alternative, punk, grunge, metal, screamo, some dance, some techno, nu-metal, indie, pop, emo, and some Classical. And if you want to get really technical, which you don’t, I will also throw in that I generally don’t like hip-hop or rap, but I will tolerate them on occasion, if I’m in a tolerant mood. I will also throw in that I absolutely loathe reggae. Just some food for thought.
My hobbies live in the neighborhood of anything artsy. Imagine me as being one of those artsy, overly-dramatic, snooty, black-wearing actress people. Now subtract the part about being snooty and an actress, and you’ve got me. I love to write poetry. It is always dark, or has some morbid twist to it. I also love photography. This is my ultimate passion at the moment. (Well, that, and rambling about useless nonsense, like so.) My passions alternate, again, depending on my mood. Others include drawing, painting, learning to play the guitar, writing songs, and writing prose.
Anyhoo. I think I’ve gone on long enough about myself. I’ll keep my mood swings to myself now. Or, at least for tonight.
